Munsell organised surface colours by hue, value and chroma: colour family, lightness and distance from a neutral grey. A wheel alone cannot express all three.
Our digital explorer uses OKLCH, a modern cylindrical form of Oklab. Its lightness, chroma and hue are useful coordinates, but they are not Munsell measurements. Move through a slice of this different colour space.

This is a CSS OKLCH explorer, not a Munsell chart or a calibrated measuring instrument. Some requested coordinates lie outside your display gamut and will be mapped by the browser. Equal coordinate steps need not look exactly equal. At zero chroma, hue has no visible effect.
A colour needs more than a name.
Separate lightness from chroma when refining a palette. Making a colour lighter is not the same operation as making it less colourful.
